We are seeking a meticulous QHSE Co-ordinator to join our team! The ideal candidate will ensure that our organisation adheres to HS&E legal standards and internal policies / procedures.
The purpose of this role is to promote a positive and innovative safety culture by driving QHSE forward within the business and supporting the company in the development and delivery of its QHSE Management systems, objectives, KPI’s, legislation.
This is a hands-on position that requires an impartial, highly motivated, self-starter coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills facing the workforce and management along with proactively contributing to the continuous QHSE improvement of the Grangemouth facility in order to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist the QHSE Manager in supporting all levels / departments within the business to assist in promoting a safe, healthy and compliant workplace.
- Assist in carrying out site audits in conjunction with the General & Ops Managers.
- Assist in the creation of Risk Assessments and Method statements in conjunction with the Operations department.
- Carry out H&S inductions.
- Compile monthly H&S Stats.
- Assist to raise QHSE awareness through the creation and delivery of Tool Box Talks and briefings within the business to assist in the development of a suitable and sufficient behavioural safety approach.
- Assist in monitoring QHSE performance across the Grangemouth business, conducting and supporting inspection tours and auditing programs, ensuring actions are completed and closed out in a timely manner.
- Assist in ensuring compliance to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, legislation, approved codes of practice and guidance.
- Assist in the investigation of all accidents and incidents by assisting in the management of their progress.
- Create safety alerts and roll out to staff as lessons learnt from previous incidents.
- Assist in the management of customer and supplier assessment procedures, ensuring timely completion and all up to date data is obtained.
- Assist in the co-ordination and execution of internal audits as per approved audit schedules.
- Proactively contribute to the continuous QHSE improvement process in order to improve efficiency, effectiveness and profitability.
