Denholm Engineering is an established engineering and fabrication business providing specialist subsea products, fabrication, marine and coating services to the international energy sector. With over thirty-five years' experience, and in-house fabrication, machining, blast cleaning and industrial coating capabilities, Denholm Engineering provides customers with a complete range of turnkey solutions.
Main Purpose of Job:
Provide technical and administrative support to assist effective and efficient business operations
Main Responsibilities:
- Read drawings/bill of materials and create material take offs including steel sections, steel profiles, and bolting materials
- Engage with supply chain to obtain prices and schedules
- Estimate labour for fabrication and machining activities
- Develop enquiry cost estimates, create quotes and submit to clients
- Ensure all contract requirements and client expectations are understood through Contract Review process
- Procure project related materials and services ensuring customer specifications and requirements are fully detailed along with certification requirements
- Complete job packs, completing Job Initiation Sheet, issuing drawings, bill of materials and ITPs as appropriate
- Manage projects in production ensuring technical compliance
- Liaise with production to ensure contractual delivery dates are maintained
- Manage project cost budgets and develop cost variations as and when appropriate
- Using As-built drawings, compile and submit project documentation packages
- Comply with the organisations HSEQ policy and procedure requirements
Qualifications. Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
No formal qualification required – previous manufacturing, engineering and commercial experience desirable
Knowledge:
- DEL HSEQ policy and procedure requirements
- I-Supplier
- Business Central
- Microsoft Office –Outlook, Word and Excel
- Engineering/manufacturing processes and associated quality documentation
- Information security and data protection
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to work with people at various levels from shop floor to senior management
- Ability to use own initiative
- Manage pressure and conflicting demands and prioritise tasks and workload
- Verbal communication skills
- High level of analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills
