The Role
Due to ongoing growth opportunities, we are excited to appoint the newly created position of Group Finance Business Partner within the central team, based in Glasgow. This role offers the successful candidate an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic group finance team and contribute to the success of a resilient, growing multinational group.
The position includes responsibility for providing financial insight, challenge and support across the group, as well as playing an active role in financial initiatives, growth opportunities and strategic projects, working with management teams across the globe to enhance group business performance.
Core Responsibilities
Business Partnering:
- Provide finance support to subsidiary companies, ensuring accurate and insightful management information and analysis to aid operational decision making.
- Build effective relationships with operational and finance teams throughout the group.
- Support treasury decisions with historical and forecast data.
- Provide support to the Group Financial Controller and CFO.
Strategic and project support:
- Contribute to both group and subsidiary level finance projects such as supporting system implementation / migrations and reporting improvements.
- Assist with acquisitions and post-acquisition onboarding and integration.
- Providing financial input into other strategic projects such as investment appraisal and new market or territory entry.
- Governance and control
- Assist in delivering the group’s internal audit plan.
- Support the continued development, enhancement and implementation of group finance policies.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified CA or ACCA with post qualification experience.
- 3-5 years post qualification experience in a similar role.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365, and in particular expertise financial modelling in excel.
- Excellent analytical mind with strong attention to detail.
- An ability to process, and present large data sets in a reader friendly format.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident self-starter with a desire to make a significant contribution to the Group Finance function.
- Willingness to travel with work.
- Full UK driving license (preferred).
