Health, Safety and Environmental Comply with the organisations HSEQ policy and procedure requirements – including Risk Assessments, PPE Instructions and other Safe Working Instructions.
- Perform tasks as directed and in accordance with Job Initiation Pack and approved drawings ensuring assigned work is clearly understood before commencing.
- Conduct pre-use visual checks on machines prior to commencing work to ensure equipment is fit for purpose and safe ie. they are no signs of damage, defect or disrepair. Notify your immediate Supervisor of damage, defect or disrepair
. Check condition of cables of equipment prior to commencing work activities.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area before, during and after completing work. Dispose of waste using the correct bins/skips provided for segregation.
- Report any HSE issues witnessed in the workshop, stop the job if you feel that the safety of yourself or that of your colleagues is jeopardized.
- Participate in any risk assessment reviews, safe systems or work or accident or incident investigation where required.
Quality
- Examine own work, checking for defects to ensure conformance with drawings and specifications
- Record work activity on Job Cards &, Production Reports (and any other documentation and when instructed) in accordance with Workshop Production Control REL-003-W036 in order to comply with our management systems processes and customer requirements
- Report all non-conforming material/product to the Machine Workshop Supervisor
General
- Complete assigned work within allocated man hours by working productively but safely
- Comply with all reasonable instruction given by Machine Workshop Supervisor
- Participate in all training provided by the company.
Production/manufacturing operations
- Manufacture of components utilising manually operated:
- REL3171 CNC Lathe
- XYZ- REL3173 CNC Mill
- SMX 5000
- REL3540 CNC Mazak FH 880
- REL3155 Sterling Band Saw
- REL3176 Drill – Walker
- REL3177 Pedestal Grind Wheel
– AJH
- May be requested at times to perform other tasks and work additional hours in abnormal situations to ensure customer order request dates are achieved
Qualifications:
- No formal qualification required – recognition of previous experience and on-the-job assessment.
Knowledge:
- Can work in Metric & Imperial
- Understands drawings/technical data
- Understands and conforms to Job Card
- Understands and conforms to Production Report
- Able to set-up, programme (PROTRAK) and operate CNC Lathe/Mill.Skills & Competencies
- Demonstrates safe working
- Housekeeping (before, during and after job)
- Accept and understand instructions
- Prioritise tasks & workload to meet production deadlines
